Description

This booklet memorializes the operation and legacy of the Katie Bitting Reynolds Memorial Hospital. The hospital was founded to serve the medical needs of Winston-Salem's African-American community, and hosted 131 beds. The hospital also included a training facility for African-American nurses and physicians, whom often later worked in the hospital. The booklet records how these physicians, nurses, and patients memorialize the hospital's importance in the daily life of Winston-Salem.
