Description

Begun in 1913, the steel bridge connected Forsyth and Davie counties across the Yadkin River at the location currently occupied by the Katherine Crosby Bridge. Vincennes Bridge Company of Indiana built the bridge for $31,000, supervised by engineer J.N. Ambler. Hall's Ferry operated at the crossing from 1848, making its last trip on Easter Monday, 1914.
