Black and white photograph of African American group posed outside entrance to brick building. Group was the entire student body of the Rosenwald School, Lexington Colored School, on 4th Street, Lexington, NC. Also standing is Principal, Benjamin A. Bianchi (second from left, third row) and teacher Rose Ellis (second from right, third row). The school was later renamed Dunbar by the first graduating class.
