Dunbar (renamed by the first graduating class) was originally known as Lexington Colored School. Dunbar was a Rosenwald School, built in the early 1930s. Principal Benjamin A. Bianchi can be seen on the third row, second from left. Teacher Rose Ellis is on the the third row, second from right.
