Description

Sundays started in church, followed by dinner, usually a chicken or two from the family stock, either fried or stewed with dumplings. Leisurely Sunday afternoons entailed visiting other homes or strolling up to the Junction along the railroad spur-line. (Courtesy of Textile Heritage Center at Cooleemee.)
