Description

Meroney moved to Mocksville around 1820 to study law with Archibald Carter. After completing his studies, he went into business with Judge Richmond Pearson in the law firm of Meroney and Pearson. In 1828, Meroney built a home on Salisbury Street. During the 1830s, Meroney shared this home with school teacher Peter Stuart Ney.
