Description

In 1935, a mystery person gave Tutterow a miniature pair of pants at a community Christmas party. The following year he received a matching coat and suit of underwear. In 1937, he received a vest and tiny socks. Rebecca Talbert of Advance later admitted sending the articles of clothing, knowing that Tutterow loved a good practical joke. Tutterow served as a Davie County commissioner from 1932 to 1940. (Courtesy of Ray Tutterow.)
