Descriptions of the grand annual communication of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina held in the Masonic Hall in Raleigh from December 5 to December 9, 1853, including names of those present at each meeting, a list of trustees appointed to St. John's College, a list of all of the lodges under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge, rules for the government of subordinate lodges in Masonic trials, returns from each subordinate lodge, and a communication to subordinate lodges about Articles III and IV of the By-Laws.
