Descriptions of the grand annual communication of the Grand Lodge of North Carolina held in the Masonic Hall in Raleigh from December 6 to December 10, 1858, including names of those present at each meeting, rules for the government of subordinate lodges in Masonic trials, an accounting of dues, a list of all of the lodges under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge, a list of the trustees of St. John's College, a table drawn up from the returns of the subordinate lodges showing the number of members and non-members, returns from each subordinate lodge, and appointments made by the Grand Master after the closing of the grand communication.
