Warren McCulloch, from Greensboro, North Carolina, graduated from Elon College in 1917. According to the 1917 Phi Psi Cli yearbook he was involved with the following student organizations: Clio Literary Society, College Glee Club, Y.M.C.A., Clio Debater (1914), Clio Humorist (1915), President of the Clio Entertainment (1917), Chief Rooter (1915-1916), Junior Class Historian (1916), Junior Debater (1915), Senior Debater (1916), and Elon College Sunday School Secretary (1916-1917). Many materials from these organizations are included in his scrapbook. In addition, he sometimes went by “Mack” and is the artist behind many of the sketches in 1917 Phi Psi Cli yearbook, which also appear in the scrapbook. The scrapbook includes many photographic prints cut out from the yearbook, including those of the men’s tennis team, men’s baseball team, men’s basketball team, men’s gymnasium team, women’s Feaster’s Club, the Phi Psi Cli Staff, Psiphelian Literary Society, Clio Literary Society Hall, senior photos, and others. Photos of snow at Elon, West Dormitory, the senior oak tree, travels, and other non-Elon activities are also included. There are a few newspaper clippings, as well as letters, postcards, a telegram, his poetry, and a 1916 agreement with friends to meet again in 1926 in Denver, Colorado. Additionally, there is a program for the Third Annual Banquet of the Class of 1918 of First Baptist Sunday School from April 5, 1912. There is also a bulletin from the United States Army Eastern Department’s Officers’ Training Camps, and McCulloch is included in a 1918 list of Elon College alumni serving in World War I. In 1923, McCulloch helped create the Alamance Elon Club, an organization for Elon College alumni living in Alamance County, N.C., and he served as the first Vice President of the group. The 1931 Elon College Alumni Directory reports that he married Bertie Troxler in 1925, resided in Greensboro, N.C., and worked as a master printer. The 1948 Elon College Alumni Directory mentions him as the owner and operator of McCulloch Press in Greensboro, N.C.
