Description

After the death of her husband, Margaret Cunningham Craig (later Woodson) made North Carolina her permanent home, tearing down the old home and hunting lodge, Yadkin River Lodge, and constructing Boxwood Lodge, named for the English boxwoods hauled in by wagon for the original lodge. Delano and Aldridge of New York designed the new lodge.
