Description

Polly Scott Inn, or Tavern as it appeared in the early 1970's. Porch steps were old mill stones. Known also as the Jarrett House and occupied for many years by the Jarrett family, John F. Jarrett and his wife Mary Mobley Jarrett and their two children Willie and Annie Jarrett. The Inn was located on Iron Works Road in Rockingham Co. In 1781, officers from General Cornwallis' army quartered here. Structure was demolished in 1975.
