1964 President Walter Ridley and Miss Isabella Hollowell at the 1964 Commencement ceremonies. Miss Hollowell was among the 23 students who were enrolled on the first day of classes at the newly established State Colored Normal School in 1892. She lived to be 101, passing away in 1973.
