Alphabet in capitals and numerals 1-8 stitched in red [cotton] thread, alphabet in capitals (Y and Z omitted) cross stitched in green [cotton] thread, alphabet in capitals and numerals 1-13 cross stitched in light blue [cotton] thread, alphabet in lower case cross stitched in yellow [cotton] thread, outer edge and each alphabet encircled by stylized wave stitch; fabric extensively yellowed and [water] stained (lower edge, middle), some letters and numerals show thread breakage and in some no threads left at all, evidence of past infestation; frame 2.7 cm.; fair condition with chips along outer edge exposing bare wood, brown paper backing torn showing protruding nails and wood underbacking.
