Margaret Roberts, born in 1838, married John Nicolas Click in 1855 in Davie County. She made these two quilts before the Civil War. After Click's death, she married Alexander Nail. The quilts were preserved by her great-niece, Margaret Armstrong Swicegood Fort, upon her "Auntie's" death until donated to the Davie County Public Library in August 2011.
