Description

Mrs. Hazel Morehead, the storyteller, gathers a group of children together for story time. Behind her are Nannie Roberts and Alice Morehead, librarians at McRae Library, the first Negro library in Rockingham County. It was named for J.A. McRae, a popular Black educator and principal of Washington High School.
