Description

This quilt was created by a group of volunteers in 1976 for the Bicentennial Ball at Rockingham Community College. The quilting squares include patriotic symbols including the North Carolina state flower (a dogwood), the state mammal (gray squirrel), the John Motley Morehead House, Chinqua Penn, Willow Oaks, and the Daughters of the American Revolution seal.
