Description

Richard Wall, the brother of Ann Wall Fewell and a founding Madison Commissioner, built Wall House just west of Madison about 1825, possibly for one of his children. In 1839 Randall Duke Scales bought it for his son, Peter Scales. In 2002 the Wall House was moved to prevent demolition. This image shows the main staircase looking down from the attic.
