Description
This R.C. Allen adding machine was used at the
Old Stadler Store, located just southeast of Reidsville, NC in the
Williamsburg Township. The store was owned and operated by David
“Dave” Thomas Stadler from the 1930s to the 1960s. The store was a
business and a community meeting place. Mr. Stadler sold on account;
and during the Great Depression, he bartered with customers who had
no money.
