Description

This photograph shows the warming house at the Troublesome Creek Ironworks. The ironworks were established in 1770 as Speedwell Furnace. The site was a rendezvous point for both British and American troops during the Revolutionary War. This photograph was taken in the 1930's or 1940's. The warming house is no longer standing.
