Mary Elliott McCabe Godfrey was the secretary for the Tarboro Merchants Association. She was the daughter of Paul L. and Lucy Viola Knight McCabe. She was born on August 24, 1903 and died August 22, 1947. She was married to Charles William Godfrey. Mary is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Tarboro, N.C.
