Transcription: Grading for the Daniel Boone Amphitheater commenced in March of 1952, only three months before opening night! Pictured above are two unidentified members of the constructions crew, Wade Brown, Constance Stallings, W.R. Winkler, Sr. (Chairman of the Building Committee), Buck Hayworth, Stanley Harris, Sr., Mrs. Russell Hodges, Mark Goforth (State Highway Commissioner), Gordon Winkler, and Dr. D.J. Whitener. The theatre was completed and ready in record time thanks to the tireless efforts of the Building Committee and the extraordinary dedication exhibited by Contractor Perry Greene.
