Transcription: Front-end loaders and graders relished the task (a couple or three decades ago) of carving a road to connect Rivers Street with Faculty Street. In the field to the right of the front-end loader today stand Farthing Auditorium, the first home of John A. Walker College of Business (a site formerly occupied by a burley tobacco warehouse in which a county fair was held each autumn), and Broyhill Music Center, home of Rosen Hall, and home-base every year for performances by the world-acclaimed Broyhill Chamber Ensemble during An Appalachian Summer.
