Transcription: AND THE FLOOD CAME -- Looking down King Street after a disastrous flood believed to have occurred 70 or more years ago. The building at the extreme right was formerly occupied by the Watauga Democrat. On down the Street are the Bryan home and the Blair Hotel. On the left is the J. D. Councill house where the post office now stands. Bystanders on the debris in front of the early-day newspaper office and those near the middle of the Street, can't be identified.
