Description

Probably dating to the late 1870s-1880s, Enoch Elijah Hunt and his wife Alice Rose Hunt lived here until their deaths. Hunt ran a mercantile business in Mocksville and served as mayor, postmaster, and chairman of the Board of Elections. His wife's family owned the land on which Rose Cemetery was built.
