For 30 years Andrew Lagle worked with the Town of Mocksville, first as Town Supervisor, then Director of Public Works. He was a volunteer firefighter for 35 years, serving as Fire Chief for 15 years. Prior to that, after graduating from Mocksville High School and the Curtis Wright School of Aviation, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps as a flight engineer and served during World War II. His research led to the creation of the Lagle Land Grant map for Davie County.
