Myers raced every night at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem in 1965. In his 1950 rebuilt Chevrolet, he led in the point standing with 404 points and $165 in prize money in the $99 Claiming Car division. During the week, Myers worked at the Myers Grocery in Smith Grove.
