Drawings by Allyn Cox for murals in the Grand
Lodge Executive Office Building of North Carolina. The top mural
depicts William Richardson Davie laying the cornerstone for the
building now known as Old East in 1793. The second drawing depicts
historical moments in Freemasonry in North Carolina, including the
dedication of the Great Smoky Mountains Masonic Marker outside of
Waynesville. Portraits of William R. Davie, Samuel Johnston, Robert
Williams, and Joseph Montfort.
