Rebecca Parker Grant, wife of Absalom Turner Grant Sr. and Annie's mother, bought the house from Louisa C. Moss in 1891. The home stood on the west side of North Main Street at Cherry Street. "Miss Annie's" hat shop occupied an added room on the north side of the house.
