Benjamin Rush Eaton was the son of Joseph Eaton and grandson of Benjamin Eaton & Amelia Fox Eaton. He was born in 1836 in Davie County, NC, married Mary Jane Click in 1856, studied medicine under Dr. Washington Wiseman, moved away shortly after the Civil War, and died in Settlement, AK in 1914. Dr. Rush is seated on the porch in this family picture with his great-grandchild on his lap.
