Description

The first half of this film shows the dedication of Durham's Old Farm Park, including speeches by local councilmen and a performance by the New Generation Singers. The second half covers the Duke Children's Classic golf tournament of May 26-27, 1979. It includes interviews by Asa Spaulding, Jr. and Cynthia Watts with Dr. Samuel L. Katz, Linda (last name unknown), and Perry Como. Barbara Mandrell, Archie Campbell, Jim Spinarkle, and Tom Sullivan, who participated in the tournament, are shown playing golf.
